Global attends Collaborate 11

Collaborate 11
4/10-4/11, Orlando, FL

OAUG/Quest/IOUG hosted Collaborate 11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. 5,500 of the best and brightest in the Oracle industry attended including Global Software. Attendees had an opportunity to network with other Oracle users and obtain critical Oracle knowledge from education sessions. With over 1200 sessions, educators covered a variety of topics including “Setting the New Standard for Supply Management Applications”, “Managing Assets in a Global Environment”, and  “Enabling Your Chart of Accounts for Management Reporting and Compliance”.

Global Software was invited as a presenter and an exhibitor and our own Becky Kaufman, Caitlyn Ashton-Gill,Tonya Cannady, Jeff Alfers, Bjorn Beer and Amy Collier attended this event. We were lucky enough to host not one, but TWO sessions with two different customers. Becky Kaufman, Vice President, Client Services, hosted the session with Oracle customer, Orange Lake Country Club, entitled “Best Practices & Technologies for Building Microsoft Excel-Based Oracle Financial Report –Featuring Key Customer with Orange Lake Country Club”. The presentation discussed Orange Lake Country Club’s experience with Global Software’s Microsoft Excel-based automation tools.

Caitlyn Ashton-Gill, Product Information Manager, hosted the second session with customer, AAA, entitled “Best Practices and Technologies for Building Microsoft Excel-based JD Edwards Financial Reports, Featuring AAA Success Story”. The presentation covered how to users could access critical JD Edwards data with minimal IT intervention. It also recounted how AAA enhanced its overall spreadsheet experience using Microsoft Excel-based automation tools from Global Software.

This is the first time we’ve had the opportunity to host sessions with both AAA and Orange Lake Country Club. It was a great experience and we hope to work with them again soon!

Are you ready for Collaborate?

Collaborate is less than a week away and we’re gearing up to attend! We’ll be at Booth #1423 and we will also be hosting two sessions featuring two customers’ experiences with Global Software’s Microsoft Excel-based automation tools on Wednesday, April 13th. The first session will be held at 10:30 AM EDT and will feature Global customer and Oracle user, Orange Lake Resorts. The second will take place at 4:00 PM EDT and will feature JD Edwards customer, AAA. Global attends SAP Financials

SAP Financials

SAP held its annual SAP Financials conference at the MGM Grand hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Global Software was invited as a presenter and an exhibitor. Our own Jeff Alfers, Amy Collier, and Paul Zunker attended this event. There were over 200 breakout sessions across 13 tracks, hosted by top experts at SAP, independent consultants, and industry counterparts.  Session topics ranged from “What evolving financial reform means for U.S. businesses” to “Choosing the right application to support closes, consolidations, and planning” to “How to gain costing insights that improve pricing and profitability”.

Global Software, Inc. sponsored a breakout session entitled “Best Practices and Technologies for Building Microsoft Excel-Based SAP Financial Reports”.  It was hosted by Paul Zunker, Vice President, West Coast Operations at Global Software and Ronnie Henry, SAP Development Manager at GraceKennedy.  The session demonstrated to SAP users how to utilize spreadsheet automation processes with the SAP environment, while touching on GraceKennedy’s successful experience with Global Software’s Spreadsheet Server. Attendees took away key points on how to leverage their financial reporting in an easy-to-use, formula driven, real-time fashion within Excel.

It's been a busy week for Global Software! As we wrap up with SAP Financials, Global’s own Paul Grosshans and Caitlyn Ashton-Gill will also be at the ASUG Florida Chapter meeting in Orlando today. Global attends ASUG PAC NW

The America’s SAP Users Group Pacific Northwest Chapter held its annual meeting at the Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center in Tacoma, WA. Global’s own Jeff Alfers and Leo Palana attended this event.  There were 16 breakout sessions hosted by various SAP developers and experts. The sessions touched on topics such as “Easy Discovery of Relevant SAP Enhancement Package Functionality”, “Driving Success through High Performance Enterprise Architecture”, and “How to Create a Comprehensive Data Governance Strategy on a Global Scale.” Global Software, Inc. was invited to attend as a presenter and an exhibitor.

Global Software, Inc. sponsored a breakout session entitled “Financial Reporting with Global Software’s Spreadsheet Server”.  It was hosted by Cord McCormick, Manager of Financial Reporting at Marine Resources Group.  The session introduced attendees to how Global Software’s Spreadsheet Server tended to the needs of seven independent operating companies. The benefits of Global Software’s dynamic and interactive Microsoft Excel-based automation tools, specifically Spreadsheet Server, were discussed and reviewed to give attendees a view into Global Software’s capabilities in financial business processes.

The American SAP Users Group Georgia Chapter held its annual meeting at the AT&T Corporate location in Atlanta, GA.  There were 15 breakout sessions throughout the day hosted by leading SAP developers and experts. Session topics ranged from “Building a Data Governance Executive Office” to “Tips and Tricks for Being a More Productive SAP User” to “SAP Change Control – Why Automation is the Only Way to Go.” Global Software, Inc. was invited as a presenter and a exhibitor.

Global Software, Inc. hosted a breakout session entitled, “Best Practices and Technologies for Building Microsoft Excel-based SAP Financial Reports” featuring Global Software’s own Caitlyn Ashton-Gill, Product Information Manager. The session focused on to make your spreadsheet reporting more interactive and dynamic with Global Software’s Microsoft Excel-based automation tools and how those tools benefited Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated. Attendees walked away with an understanding as to how Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated gained deeper insight into the financial health of its business and increased the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of the financial business processes.
