Global welcomes Catherine Stogner as QA Assurance Analyst

Global Software, Inc. is pleased to welcome Catherine Stogner to our team as a Quality Assurance Analyst. She will be testing Global Software Inc.’s software to ensure high-quality products and providing technical documentation for users and programmers alike.  Before joining Global Software, Inc., Catherine participated in testing and documentation at CGI Federal in Virginia. She graduated Appalachian State University in May 2010 with a B.A. in English-Professional Writing. She enjoys crocheting, reading, and outdoor activities. Welcome to Global Software, Catherine!

Global is a featured exhibitor at 'UK & Ireland SAP Show'

UK and Ireland SAP User Group Conference & Exhibition

11/21 – 11/23, Manchester, UK

At the Manchester Central Convention Complex, The UK and Ireland SAP User Group hosted its annual conference and exhibition, the most comprehensive SAP users event in Europe. SAP experts and users came together to discuss recent SAP innovations as well as future projects.  Attendees had a chance to meet with experts, network, share innovations, and test drive new SAP products.

The conference’s program featured 17 streams with over 70 speakers.  The streams featured sessions covering a wide range of topics including “SAAS/Cloud Computing”, “Personal Cost Planning in an uncertain economy”,  and “Operational Business Intelligence”. The convention also featured a Gala Dinner for networking.

Global Software, Inc. was invited as a featured exhibitor at the conference and was positioned at Booth #6.  Global Software, Inc. hosted a session entitled “Best Practice – Microsoft® Excel-based automation with SAP® at Elyo Suez”. The presentation featured Mark Gallacher, financial controller at Cofely (GDF Suez) and Mark Gray, director, client services at Global Software, Inc.  The presentation demonstrated how to save time off of monthly financial reporting and increase data integrity by eliminating reliance on manual data exports and rekeying to Microsoft Excel from SAP®.

Global co-presents with Tekelec at VOUG and ESOAUG Conference

10/13 – 10/14, Richmond, VA

The Virginia Oracle Users Group (VOUG) and Eastern States Oracle Applications User Group (ESOAUG) held their first combined conference at the Omni Richmond Hotel in Richmond, Virginia. There were 10 informative sessions with several presented by leading Oracle experts and developers. Session topics included “Secure APEX Development”, “Sustaining Government Effectiveness through Visual Analytics”, and “Using Every Tool in the Box for Oracle EBS iExpense”. Global Software, Inc. was invited as featured exhibitor and was situated at Booth #7.  

Global Software, Inc. gave a presentation entitled “Best Practices and Technologies for building Microsoft® Excel-based Oracle® financial reports” featuring Michael Gerard, Senior Financial Analyst-IT at Tekelec, and Global Software, Inc.’s own Dan Havey, VP, Product Sales and Consultation. The session focused on how Tekelec’s spreadsheet reporting became more interactive and dynamic with Global Software’s Microsoft Excel-based automation tools. Michael Gerard recounted how the company not only enhanced its overall spreadsheet experience by increasing the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of its financial business processes, the company also gained a deeper insight into the financial health of its business.
